- MGM Grand is one of the largest properties on the Strip, and that scale cuts both ways: there is a lot on site, and it takes real time to cross. For nightlife it carries Hakkasan on the nightclub side and Palm Tree Beach Club, the redesigned successor to Wet Republic, on the daytime side. It sits at the centre-south of the Strip, which makes it a reasonable base for reaching other properties.
- Music and programming
- Hakkasan runs Wednesday through Saturday across its five levels; Palm Tree Beach Club runs Thursday through Sunday, 11 AM to 7 PM in season. Between them the property covers both halves of a nightlife weekend without leaving the building.
- Dress code
- Venue-specific: upscale nightclub dress at Hakkasan, swimwear and coverups at Palm Tree Beach Club. Both enforce at the door.
- Arrival and timing
- Budget more walking time than you think. Crossing MGM Grand from a room to a venue is a genuine walk, and it is a common reason groups miss the early-arrival window that gets them better seating.
- What drives the cost

Is Wet Republic still here?
No. Wet Republic's last season was 2024; the pool reopened in May 2025 as Palm Tree Beach Club after a full redesign. Same location, different venue.
What nightlife is on property?
Hakkasan Nightclub, Wednesday through Saturday, and Palm Tree Beach Club during pool season. Both are Tao Group venues.
Is it a good base for a big group?
